In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of ORIX Leasing Malaysia (“OLM”) Berhad, the Company held its ‘Beach Cleaning’ Project on 8 July 2023 to further emphasise its commitment to environmental stewardship as part of the corporate social responsibility activities under its environmental, social, and governance initiative.
Lucy Hii Leh Ping, Deputy President of OLM Group, together with the top management, officiated this event at Batu Laut Beach, Tanjung Sepat, which was attended by a total of 86 employees from OLM Group as well as a representative from the Kuala Langat Municipal Council.
In her speech, Lucy said, “We have carried out our 50th Anniversary ‘Plant A Tree’ Project earlier this year in March. And as we launch this ‘Beach Cleaning’ Project, we are taking an added step towards creating a positive impact on our environment. However, it is essential to understand that our commitment to environmental preservation should extend beyond these events.”
“We aspire to adopt a continuous and holistic approach, making a lasting effect in our efforts to protect our planet. Together, we can make a difference by engaging in sustainable practices, promoting recycling and waste reduction, and raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. Our goal is not just to clean up this beach, but also to inspire others to follow suit and join us in our collective effort.”
